It actually measures 57" for me, but I assume the 56 in the model number means the company measures it at 56"The paint is in fantastic condition. There is some surface rust throughout. I believe the top surfaces are chromed. (not 100% certain) Steering joints and rail to wood connectors are good.Steering handle freely pivots left and and right for control.
