Information Technology Specialist

If selected, you will join a team that is responsible for the system administration, database management, technical, and analytical services in support of the mission in the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). You will provide support to Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) and legal support staff. Duties include:
Providing direct technical support to end-users for all IT related issues both hardware and software. Performing hardware/software maintenance to maintain optimum system performance. Using knowledge of information systems security principles and methods to participate in testing and implementation of the district's information security program. Aiding in performing testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, and maintenance of systems resources. Administering user/computer accounts using specialized server software. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Experience Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent):
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. To be eligible at the GS-9 level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level which is in or related to work in the Information Technology (IT) fields. Specialized experience is defined as performing technical tasks using systems and applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Drupal, SAP Crystal Reports, Airwatch, Microsoft Server 2016, VMWare, CommVault, Windows PowerShell, VBScript, Adobe LiveCycle, Microsoft Active Directory, IS Decisions UserLock, AMI AssetTrack, SolarWinds, Cisco, HP Aruba, Identiv Hirsch Velocity, Panzura. Education:
A masters or equivalent graduate degree or higher in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, operations research, statistics, or technology management; OR two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Experience:
Possess a combination of education and experience as described above. To compute your qualifying experience as a percentage first determine the number of months of specialized experience you have as a percentage of 12 months. To determine your qualifying education as a percentage, determine the number of semester hours you have completed towards your Master's degree. (Only graduate education in excess of l8 hours may be used in the calculation). Add the two percentages together; they must equal 100% in order for you to qualify. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
