As a Administrative Officer at the GS-0341-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Supervising a subordinate administrative staff. Providing Human Resources advice to management and senior leadership. Executing fund accounting, financial management, and budget actions. Verifying proper usage of funds through fund accounting, financial management, and budget actions. Using a wide variety of evaluation and analysis tools and techniques. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Preparing a variety of written materials for management approval and implementation. GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0341-13 level, if you fulfill one of the following
Qualifications:
Have at least one full year of full time, specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service which includes; but was not limited to:
1.) Advising management on budgetary matters such as status of funds, acquisition plans, account shortfalls, and financial regulation compliance; 2.) Projecting current year expenditure (both deficit and surpluses) based on year-to-date budgetary information; 3.) Applying a variety of purchasing regulations, methods, and procedures to acquire services and supplies using purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, or fixed price negotiated contracts; 4.) Providing assistance with reviewing or entering monthly open obligation reports to ensure accurate status of obligations, accruals, and paid transactions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
