Plumber/Steamfitter I
The primary purpose of the Plumber/Steamfitter I position is to perform a variety of maintenance repairs and installation/replacement of plumbing systems and fixtures including supply systems, DWV system, plumbing, heating, and steam fixtures/equipment. Assists in the work direction of other mechanics, trades helpers and mechanics of other skilled trades.
Qualifications
Technical school diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge plus five (5) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of plumbing systems/equipment, in an educational, industrial or health care setting. Sound knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading is required, as is through knowledge of all applicable (local, state, and national) codes. New Jersey Black Seal Engineer's License is preferred. Attention to detail and strong communication skills. Must be able to work overtime.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
