Staff Nurse, Radiation Oncology

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse (Cancer Center) position is to administer total patient care based on individualized needs of assigned patients and families in accordance with professional nursing standards. The Staff Nurse will utilize knowledge of chemotherapy and/or radiation oncology procedures to assess, screen, evaluate, educate, and provide care management/outcome management in accordance with professional nursing standards to adult patients who are under the care of the Outpatient Oncology Services team. The role of the RN includes practice/office support. Always demonstrates team approaches and flexibility by rotation between Oncology Service Departments as required. Shows a working knowledge of UH, Joint Commission & DOH regulations. Participates in evidence based nursing and related QA and PI endeavors.


Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice in the State of New Jersey required. BSN preferred. Current BLS for healthcare professionals required. Two (2) years of full-time experience in a hospital setting preferred. Oncology experience preferred. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/ONCC Provider Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate and/or Radiation Therapy Certificate and IV/Venous Access Device Certification required or must be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of employment and maintained throughout employment. Candidate with national Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred. Essential requirements also include working predetermined flexible hours.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
