Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and clinical coordinator (if applicable), coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. Conducts 50% or more of professional time in direct patient care activities including but not limited to interdisciplinary rounding, patient counseling, or participation in patient care committees. Provision of direct patient care encompasses activities such as the direct observation and evaluation of the patient and his/her medication-related needs; the initiation, modification, or discontinuation of patient-specific pharmacotherapy; and the ongoing pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and follow-up of patients in collaboration with other health professionals. The scope of patient care provided may include:
General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
2. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
3. Completion of postgraduate clinical training (PGY-1) or > 3 years of qualifying experience required.
4. Postgraduate clinical training PGY-2 preferred.
5. Board certification in a Board of Pharmacy Specialties clinical specialty preferred.
6. BLS Required
7. ACLS Preferred
8. Anti-Microbial Stewardship preferred.
9. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
