S.
We are looking for an experienced buyer based in our Newark or Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey office to oversee purchasing and procurement for all our product lines.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Coordinate inbound & intracompany inventory logistics Forecast & communicate inventory needs to vendors Identify & communicate potential inventory issues in a timely manner Order writing & inventory management Sales reports Research & evaluate suppliers, goods & services Negotiate best prices & service guarantees Work with vendors to resolve quality, damage or discrepancy issues Support sales initiatives & collaborate with the sales team to assist accounts
Qualifications:
Purchasing experience required Knowledge of restaurant, retail and/or wholesale supply chains preferred Understanding of butchery, meat cuts & a refrigerated supply chain Effective communication & interpersonal skills Detail oriented with strong organizational & analytical abilities Proficiency in Excel We also offer:
