A services company in New Jersey is actively seeking an experienced and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Principal Employee Relations Specialist.
Responsibilities The Principal Employee Relations Specialist:
Develops and administers training initiatives Develops and recommends employee relations policies and procedures Takes lead in conducting in-depth investigations of complex internal and external complaints Takes lead in counseling supervisors and reviewing non-agreement progressive discipline decisions and documents Works closely with DAGs in reviewing complex employee cases to ensure compliance with NJ State and Federal labor statutes and laws Works with management on Reductions-in-Force Oversees negotiations for the arrangement of all off-site engagements, facilities, meetings, equipment and corporate discount/group rate programs Develops accounting reports of funds collected Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related area 6
years of experience in research and interpretation of human resources and employee relations issues, including 5 years of a demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues Able to work with a high degree of confidentiality Experience with conducting a high volume of investigations Proficiency in preparing, interpreting and analyzing budgets Recommended Skills Business Administration Confidentiality Financial Management Human Resources Labor Relations Negotiation Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
