Summary Creates and revises training curriculum including but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, lab tasks, practical and written tests.
Roles and Responsibilities Develop training materials for both agreement and non-agreement bus maintenance staff utilizing a suite of software products including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and Adobe using adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
Must demonstrate subject matter expertise in all areas of automotive and heavy-duty diesel repair, including but not limited to electrical and electronics, diesel engines, air brake systems, and suspension and steering systems.
Create and define content and training curriculum for technical and non-technical audiences, including PowerPoint presentations, instructional videos, lab exercises, practical and written tests, and eLearning modules.
Analyze feedback from users on the effectiveness of course material and identify areas of improvement.
Create visual aids, graphics, and presentations for training classes and refine content to ensure accessibility across a wide range of audiences.
Research supplemental material to enhance curriculum, including articles, diagrams, and instructional videos.
Other duties as assigned by the Director, Maintenance Training.
Education, Experience and
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Five or more years experience with automotive or heavy-duty diesel repair.
Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience preferred Completion of vocational or post-secondary trade school in the areas of automotive or diesel technology preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access Technical expertise in all areas of automotive and heavy-duty diesel repair Must be able to work independently and multi-task effectively Must be able to collaborate with the Bus Maintenance Training management team to proofread and edit all training curriculum prior to deployment in the classroom Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsVocational or Post-Secondary Technical School Certificate - preferred ASE Certifications - preferred OEM Training Certificates - preferred Working EnvironmentPrimarily office environment, occasional shop and garage environment Physical DemandsLift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
May need to stand for extended periods of time while attending or conducting training.
