Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant (TRA) for the Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics within the New Jersey Medical School.
Under direction of the Principal Investigator, the TRA will conduct computational and systems biology analyses of host or pathogen biological networks as they pertain to infectious diseases.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Performs computational analysis including, not limited to, network modeling, next-generation sequencing analysis, bioinformatic statistical testing, machine learning and other biomedical data analyses.
Assists the Principal Investigator with the preparation of grant applications and manuscripts.
Assists the Principal Investigator in written and formal presentations to industrial collaborators and funding agencies.
Demonstrates good team spirit and communication skills.
As required, assists in the implementation of the programs and projects in special areas of interest to the department.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
