CMBN is also committed to serving the academic and surrounding Newark communities through educational outreach, community service, and research internship programs that train undergraduate and high school Posting Summary Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience, in the Krekelberg Lab.
The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the human subjects research laboratory, under the guidance and direction of the Laboratory Researcher III.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
Assists in experiment preparation, setup, and execution.
Records and updates records and data in computerized and non-computerized formats.
Assists in maintaining laboratory safety and cleanliness, in accordance with established procedures.
This position is dependent on adequate external funding.
Position Status Part Time Hours Per Week 20 Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
FLSA Nonexempt Position Salary $15 to $25/hour Payroll Designation PeopleSoft Terms of Appointment Temporary Staff Appointment - Hourly Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requires a Bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician or research study experience carrying out research protocols and tests, or other technical work may be substituted for the degree.
Certifications/Licenses Preferred Qualifications Experience in a cognitive neuroscience setting, or specific experience working with eye tracking, electroencephalography, functional magnetic resonance imaging, and/or transcranial current stimulation is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requires a bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and certifications and/or relevant experience.
Experience working in a research laboratory working with human subjects.
Organized, responsible, detail oriented, and able to work individually and as a team.
Attend any relevant laboratory safety training.
Equipment Utilized This position uses equipment for human subjects' experiments, email, web browsers, and basic office computing software (such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat).
Physical Demands and Work Environment Fast paced laboratory environment.
Able to comfortably lift and move 30 pounds.
This position involves prolonged standing, walking and sitting, as well as use of laboratory equipment.
Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
Some stooping, reaching, climbing, and bending required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
