Electrical Commissioning Engineer at Tutor Perini Corporation in Newark, NJ

Tutor Perini/Parsons JV is currently seeking a performance-driven, highly motivated Lead Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our Newark Airport Terminal 1 project QA/QC team and provide an overall supervision of the electrical and low voltage system installation, commissioning, and testing activities while working closely with TPP Field team, TPP electrical coordinator and the electrical installing contractor to ensure compliance with the approved drawings and specifications. Responsibilities:
Carry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning / commissioning of all electrical and low voltage systems and troubleshooting emergency electrical issues during the functional or integrated testing phases. Responsible for interpreting/validating relay and apparatus testing results satisfying latest standards, procedures and guidelines. Plans, performs, and documents the commissioning of various control and power circuits to ensure the intended operation and safety of equipment and personnel are met. Maintains familiarity with appropriate engineering and construction codes to ensure compliance with applicable codes. Conducts daily quality control site visits to ensure adequacy of contractor methods. Evaluates contractor procedures, starting and completion times, and testing requirements for each phase of construction. Actively track, monitor, research validity and compliance with Contract documents for all work from inception to final closure. Attend the project Commissioning meetings Assists in the turnover and training process.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering 6-10 years' experience in building commissioning Good organizational skills with ability to independently manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail Cx Alloy TQ knowledge is a plus Basic AutoCAD skills Good writing and verbal communication skills Ability to write clear and detailed reports Special Requirements:
Demonstrated expertise leveraging the latest industry testing and commissioning standards, procedures and guidelines, including IEEE and NETA.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
