Tutor Perini/Parsons JV is currently seeking a performance-driven, highly motivated Lead Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our Newark Airport Terminal 1 project QA/QC team and provide an overall supervision of the HVAC system installation, commissioning, and testing activities, working closely with TPP Field team, TPP MEP coordinator and the installing contractors to ensure compliance with the approved drawings and specifications. Responsibilities:
Full Understanding of the HVAC systems and emerging high-performance alternatives Carry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning / commissioning of all HVAC systems and troubleshooting emergent issues during the functional or integrated testing phases. Proficient level of knowledge relative to all aspects of construction management and supervision Assist in reviewing construction documents and provide support to improve constructability, indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and operations Inspect installation of the MEP equipment and provide daily quality control reports documenting the daily activities on site. Assist with developing functional and integrated testing forms. Manage, focus on mechanical components for various contractors Document review comments and inspection findings in issues logs and actively track, monitor, research validity and compliance with Contract documents for all work from inception to final closure. Attend the project Commissioning meetings Assists in the turnover and training process.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering 6-10 years' experience in building commissioning Good organizational skills with ability to independently manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail Cx Alloy TQ knowledge is a plus Basic AutoCAD skills good writing and verbal communication skills Ability to write clear and detailed reports Preferred knowledge, and skills:
Familiarity with Energy Code and/or ASHRAE standards is a plus Familiarity with LEED Rating Systems Familiarity NJ Local Laws related to energy and climate
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
