Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

The successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities, as a member of the Planning & Design (P&D) Team in Gas T&D Engineering, within the Asset Management & Planning organization. Successful performance in these areas of responsibility requires a broad knowledge of business and engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive experience.

Job Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include the development and communication of clear project components and scopes, including needed justifications, feasibility and financial analysis.
Productively interact with internal and external multi-disciplined customers, contractors, agencies, and engineers.
Provide problem solving services in resolving conflicts between PSE&G Gas Transmission and Distribution facilities and other parties.
Project management responsibilities related to engineering, construction and support services including the evaluation of technical and operational requirements and the preparation of design and installation specifications.
Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.
Build and maintain subject matter expert (SME) level expertise for pressure regulation and controls (design and operation).
Maintain proactive engagement with industry in the advent of new technologies including such things as trenchless technology, robotics, methane detection, and decarbonization efforts.
Maintain active membership as a technical SME on both the Gas Engineering Committee and the Quality Committee.
Develop and maintain a technical liaison roll to the Edison training and Development Center (ETDC) in the area of gas pressure regulation and controls.
Manage a group of engineering associates within the P&D Team.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

Required BS in Engineering
Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering with a focus on gas utility assets, technology, or operations
Advanced knowledge and experience in gas transmission and distribution systems.
Experience in gas pressure regulation system designs and control systems operation.
Applicant must have effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong planning and organizing skills, project management abilities and must be adaptable and results-oriented.
Clear and concise technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Support of off hour system emergency situations.
Must possess and maintain a valid U. S. driver s license and a safe driving record.

Desired:
Advanced technical training (i.e. Masters of Engineering, Masters of Engineering Management, PMP certification, P.E. License).
Familiarity with utility best practices, ANSI, ASME, ASTM and other applicable industry standards as well as State and Federal Codes.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
