00 an hour 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago As a member of the Logistics Division, you will be responsible to perform all Administrative functions including data entry for receiving, store invoicing and delivery administration receipts.
Additionally, you will provide the necessary service to warehouse operations when needed to fulfill any requests for retail, perishable and grocery warehouse operations.
Split Work Week (Any 5 out of 7) - Work week and days off will be based upon business needs and may not contain traditional Saturday/Sunday off days.
1st shift (4AM-12PM), must be flexible to work 7AM-3PM if needed for coverage Core Functions:
The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for everyday support of grocery operations, rotating through the various logistics admin clerk activities as needed.
Checker Receiving Selection Letdowns Delivery Receipts.
Inventory Control Billing Checker:
Informs common carriers of unloading procedures - how and where to stage pallets, block & tier specifications, no-smoking regulations.
While trailers are being unloaded, the Auditor checks merchandise on pallets against item descriptions checks to ensure the product is the correct height to fit in assigned slots and verifies that the product being unloaded is on the Wakefern Purchase Order.
Verifies that all product is saleable and has driver remove any damaged cases from the load.
Enters the number of cases accepted per item via a WMS terminal for Common Carriers and Backhauls.

s to the Receiving Associate.
Applies computer-generated LIPs to pallets of product enabling warehouse personnel to put product away.
Affixes Loss Prevention stickers on any product which is leaving on the trailer which is not Wakefern product also checks and notates on vehicle pass any other items which are on a departing trailer.
Receiving:
Reviews delivery schedule, verifying vendor's arrival with the Guard House.
Informs Operations Supervisor what purchase orders are available at the Guard House.
Obtains door numbers from the Operations Supervisor, assigns door via WMS and calls these numbers to the Guard House allowing the common carriers to enter the facility.
Accepts the driver's bills of lading and presents the driver with the Wakefern Unloading Report.
Instructs drivers to go to their assigned door to begin unloading.
Compares Checker's totals via WMS against the driver's bill of lading for any discrepancy.
If discrepancies occur, print a recount sheet and direct the checker to recount the item in question.
Signs vendor's bills acknowledging delivery notes cases received, date, over/short quantities.
Adds receiving totals for the daily recap.
Works with the scheduling and inventory departments regarding the receiving of unscheduled deliveries.
Views AS39 and AS46 for needed items that require priority unloading.
Schedules miscellaneous arrivals.
Selection:
Works with Shipping Supervisor to ensure smooth flow on the Shipping Dock.
Calculates full pallet movement, handbill, and selection totals for Shift Supervisor.
Maintains accurate productivity reports to ensure proper incentive payments.
Is responsible for the wrist device RF units used by the selectors, maintains a log on all units, is also responsible for keeping all batteries charged for the wrist devices.
Keys in all types of selector delays authorized by the supervisor Letdowns:
Working with the Receiving Office and Inventory Control, monitors the hilo moves in the WMS system and changes priorities to insure timely letdowns by forklift operators; i.
e.
, reserve information, advanced product, etc.
Works with Inventory Control and Receiving to eliminate warehouse scratches.
Delivery Receipts:
Collects paperwork for completed loads from the Shipping Supervisor, verifies all scratches and enters scratches into WMS terminal.
Processes delivery receipt by entering trailer number, delivery date, seal number, etc.
Forwards completed delivery receipt to Transportation for shipment.
Takes calls from stores, Customer Services and Inventory Control to process handbills for special selection.
Documents balance items in log book.
Inventory Control:
Works with Operations to verify quantities in questionable slots.
Adjusts handbills, stock transfers, shuttles, etc.
Checks all receivings to verify they have been received correctly.
Makes corrections as necessary.
Records, processes and adjusts return-to-vendor, store returns, special loads, etc.
Works with Inventory Control in Elizabeth to check code dates, pack/size problems and any other problems that arise.
Counts.
Insures proper control of inventory lock-ups staged on trailers in the yard.
Checks dates on code sensitive items and reports problems to Procurement, checks numerous reports to keep Rapid and WMS inventories synchronized.
Utilizes hand held RF unit to count product in warehouse and instantly transmit adjustment to WMS.
Checks problem report, scratch report, slots product, checks item profiles, and slot profiles.
Keeps track of Roto programs and adjusts stock to cover billings.
Goes through old Rotos and identifies what needs to be sold, what can be broken down and notifies the appropriate people.
Assure stores receive credit when due.
Checks and changes cubes and BxT when necessary.
On RTV's:
contacts vendors and notifies them that there is product that needs to be returned and sets up a pick-up date and creates RTV.
Works with inventory warehousemen to take care of problems that arise.
Billing:
Processes all billings.
Routes handbills, cut stores and balance loads while working with Transportation.
Coordinates with Routing to ensure there is ample selection available at all times.
Once stores are routed, Billing Associate transfers orders from Rapid to WMS, generates route sheets for the Shipping Supervisor, and coordinates loading door and advance load assignments with the Shipping Supervisor.
Processes add-ons, updates and deletions on store orders.
Recoups machine scratched items.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
Knowledge of WMS locator system location and item maintenance functions essential.
Knowledge of Rapid inventory applications preferred.
Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently as well as with a team.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure meeting deadlines as required.
Well-developed oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility with regard to working a 5 out of 7-day schedules Flexibility with work hours:
frequent overtime, alternate shifts, and weekends.
Skills in PC spreadsheets, Microsoft office, and database programs desired.
Or equivalent work experience Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment.
