Newark Beth Israel Medical Ctr, 201 LYONS AVENUE, NEWARK, NJ 07112-2027JOB SUMMARYThe role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act.
It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital s mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities.
Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.
The Professional Nurse must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail while assisting in performing a variety of procedures in the EP Lab, including surgical procedures, pacemackers, ICDs, ablations and EP studies.
