START DATE: June 2nd, 2014
TIME FRAME: Long term - temp to perm
HOURS: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday
PAY: $16-22/hr. Salary $45-50k, great benefits
LOCATION: Newark NJ - accessible by Broad Street stop.
DESCRIPTION:
The Development Officer manages all fundraising events and focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with donors and prospective donors. Reporting to the Director of Development, he/she develops a comprehensive events agenda to achieve the annual fundraising goals. Additionally, the Officer manages donor cultivation events, volunteer groups, and assists program staff with their events which serve as opportunities to engage volunteers and prospective donors.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
A minimum 3 years relevant experience in non-profit development
Extensive experience with the Raiser's Edge fundraising program
TECHNICAL SKILLS
A functional understanding of the applications of Microsoft Office and Raiser's Edge.
Familiarity with FileMaker Pro, InDesign, and social media a plus
